Learning to live openly and freely is a process that can be very difficult for many LGBT persons and their straight allies. Many of us waste precious
time and energy hiding, if only partially, this important part of our lives. For allies, coming out and defending LGBT persons can be just as difficult. However, Journey, a personal-growth workshop series has developed and evolved to be a very, very effective resource in helping people of all stripes make their next step in this liberation process.

One surprising change in the format and target audience of the workshop over the years has been outreach to include straight allies and those that consider themselves already out. Allies serve an important role in the process of learning to live uninhibited. The growth allies experience in the workshop and the validation they provide really empower LGBT participants. Those that consider themselves out will discover areas in their life where they could open up even further as well as offer a helping hand by sharing how they've dealt with challenges that would otherwise keep them from living openly.

Objectives for each participant include learning about the process, learning how to better deal with challenges faced in one's journey, and connecting with others who share the same struggle. If you or someone you know are wanting a hand in overcoming your fears, this workshop series is exactly what you need.

Testamonials

"I didn’t realize at the time what a difference this workshop had made in my life. It’s only now as I am around people of my age who have decided to be out selectively that I understand how much freedom and self-esteem I gained from my decision to be fullly out. I could never have begun that journey so effectively without the help of your workshop."

--Stuart E. Lee

"When I used to come out to people, I used to pull them aside and tell them as though I had cancer. This workshop has really helped put my heart where my mind is on this issue. I have found a freedom to live more openly and not be apologetic about it. And people really show more respect for me now that I have that kind of confidence."

--Renee McGee, who considered herself "out" prior to the workshop
